Our 2010 Syrah, which won Double Gold at the North Central Washington Wine Awards, is the result of careful culture and an excellent growing season combining to produce a truly great expression of what Syrah in Eastern Washington should be.  The 1765’ elevation of the vineyard, which is a thin layer of glacial Lake Missoula soils over the remains of a crumbled basalt cliff,  coupled with the exposure to southern sun and the cool nights, give the grapes a true expression of where they came from.  The deep color, balanced acidity, and smoothness of the soft tannins speak to a truly memorable Syrah.  Carefully hand crafted at every step, Kathy and I do all the vineyard work ourselves, and select the grapes that make up each bottle we put our names on.  Enjoy with us, and celebrate what makes Eastern Washington so great.
